Health Services Research and Policy 4+1
Why study health services research and policy at Geneseo?
This program allows Geneseo undergraduates to complete both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in an accelerated format. The Master of Health Services Research and Policy program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct high-quality health services and policy analysis. The field examines how social factors, financing systems, organizational structures and processes, health technologies, and personal behaviors affect access to health care, the quality and cost of health care, and ultimately our health and well-being. Students gain a multi-disciplinary foundation in health policy, statistics, quality of care and risk adjustment, health economics, cost effectiveness analysis, and epidemiology.
Students save both time and tuition while preparing to provide timely and reliable evidence to guide health care decisions by clinicians, patients, policymakers, and more. Program admission requires successful completion at Geneseo of two or more health-related courses and at least one statistics or analysis course, plus a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
