Epidemiology 4+1
Why study epidemiology at Geneseo?
This program allows Geneseo undergraduates to complete both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in an accelerated format. The Master of Epidemiology program studies the distribution, determinants, and patterns of disease in human populations. It provides students with the skills to conduct clinical and population-based research, evaluate the predictors of various clinical outcomes in populations, and accommodate the growing need to integrate and analyze large-scale information.
Students save both time and tuition while preparing for epidemiology-related careers in health care, academia, government, private industry, or nonprofit advocacy. Graduates are well trained to start PhD programs in epidemiology and other related fields. Program admission requires successful completion at Geneseo of two or more health-related courses and at least one statistics or analysis course, plus a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
