Meet Our Writing Consultants
Moon Verma
Moon (they / them) is a senior with a major in Art History. Having a passion for community service, they joined Alpha Phi Omega, and now serves as President. Born and raised in Fairport NY, they now live by Canandaigua Lake where they often take walks with their dog. They can be found lazing around with their cat while listening to music and creating art. They have always found reading other people鈥檚 writing to be a fulfilling experience, and strive to help writers find their unique writing style!
Sophia Bahm
Sophia (she/her) is a senior Biochemistry major with a focus in pre-medical studies. She is the Writing Fellow for WRTG 105: The Witch, the Communications & Group Management Leader for Geneseo鈥檚 biology mentoring program, Biome, an EMT trainee at Geneseo Fire Department, and a member of the campus鈥� pre-professional medical fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon. She personally loves the creativity and innovation writing offers in such an empirical major. When she isn鈥檛 writing, Sophia can be found in her research laboratory or reading a book at her leisure.
Samantha Lopez
Sam (she/her) is a senior majoring in English Literature with a minor in Linguistics. She is a member of the Edgar Fellows Honors Program and the International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta. On campus, Sam serves as a small group leader for Geneseo’s chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. She loves to go for runs (or walks) around the village and can be found at the library during her free time. As a writing consultant, she hopes students will enjoy the writing process and be encouraged to write with confidence and intention.
Amanda Lozy-Lester
Amanda (she/her) is a junior English Literature and History double major from Rochester, New York. She is the opinion editor for The Lamron, a member of Emmelodics A Cappella, an RA, and a Safe Zone trainer on campus! In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, and loves sharing that passion with others. She hopes to help students gain confidence in their writing skills and begin to enjoy the writing process with all its challenges.
Mimi Bloomer
Mimi Bloomer (she/her) is a junior Psychology major with a minor in Human Development and a micro-credential in Applied Helping Skills. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau National Sorority, where she previously served as the Health and Wellness Chairwoman. On campus, Mimi is also involved in the Psychology Club, serving on the executive board as an Event Coordinator and working as a research assistant at Dr. Lynch鈥檚 Center for Research on Human Development and Adaptation. As a writing consultant, she specializes in research-based APA-style writing, DSM-5-TR criteria-based patient assessments, and comprehensive academic essays. Outside of academics, Mimi volunteers at Mt. Hope Family Center as a FASD caregiver and for the National Alliance of Mental Illness as a Helpline Specialist. In her free time, she enjoys running, practicing yoga or Pilates, and studying at the library. She hopes to empower students to engage with the writing process with greater self-assurance, precision, and purpose!
Michael Crowley
Nicolas Francis
Nicolas (he/him) is a sophomore Adolescent education in social studies and history major. He serves as the vice-chair of the YDSA at 黑料网, an intern with the league of storytellers, and also as a RA. When not working at the library he can often be found at the RA duty desk, looking for the next story or reading a new book.
Norah Fryer
Norah (she/her) is a senior double majoring in English Literature and Communication. She is a member of the International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta. On campus, Norah serves as an Orientation Leader for new students and is a member of the Geneseo Dance Ensemble and the Orchesis Dance Club. In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, music, and dancing. She hopes all students will learn to enjoy the writing process by building confidence in their ability.
Lucia Gomez
Lucia Gomez (she/her) is a junior Creative Writing major from Houston, Texas. She is Co-President of Creative Writing Club, a Safe-Zone trainer on campus, and a member of the Ghajda Bhangra dance team. In her free time, she can usually be found knitting and watching sitcoms with a hot cup of tea. As a writing consultant, she hopes to help others find joy in the writing and editing process.
Sophia Imbriaco
Sophia (she/her) is a junior Creative Writing and French major from Albany, NY. She is co-president of Creative Writing Club, and was the Fiction Editor for issue 14.1 of聽Gandy Dancer.聽In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing video games. She hopes to help demystify the writing process and make students聽more confident in their writing abilities.

Sarah Leberman
Sarah (she/her) is a sophomore English Creative Writing major. On campus she is a member of the Geneseo rowing club, the Voices Unbound book club, Geneseo鈥檚 chapter of Hillel, and Chamber Singers Choir. She is also an enthusiastic admissions tour guide. She can be found reading (usually) fantasy books, diamond painting and listening to broadway soundtracks. She hopes to help her peers improve their writing, while also growing more confident in their abilities.
Peter Sokolofsky
Peter (He/Him) is a sophomore double majoring in Sociology and GSWS. On campus he鈥檚 a part of the club rugby team, a Safe Zone trainer/facilitator, and training to be the next assistant coordinator of the Safe Zone program. You can find him on daga field most nights for rugby practice. In his free time he enjoys cooking for his friends and reading or listening to books. He enjoys the writing process and watching an idea for a sentence or two turn into a full fledged paper. He鈥檚 also excited to see papers with fun or witty titles.
