While at Geneseo, I took Sociology of the Family. This experience helped me to identify that I wanted to study and work with families. I was accepted into Syracuse University鈥檚 Child and Family Studies Ph.D. Program and Masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy. 聽I went on to have a successful and gratifying career鈥攂oth as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Adjunct Professor in the Dept. of Counseling and Human Services at Syracuse University. 聽I am in my 43rd year of clinical practice and have been a telehealth practitioner since the pandemic. 聽I will always attribute the start of my professional path to my excellent Geneseo education and to majoring in Sociology.
