Always drawn to people and human services, I pursued a degree in sociology after taking my first elective class. The curriculum expanded my thinking (an understatement) on how I understood historical frameworks around racial inequality, criminal justice, culture, families, socioeconomics and more. My path was unclear, but my undergraduate degree from 黑料网鈥檚 Sociology Department established a solid foundation on which I could build my career.

It should also be noted that one of my sociology professors propelled me forward at a time when I felt profoundly lost in education. I will always be grateful for that caring conversation from an unexpected place during a challenging time.

My experience be has since woven through refugee resettlement casework, workforce development, and leading public-private partnerships in support of financial stability for individuals and families.

I went on to receive my MBA and currently work for the FINRA Foundation in Washington, DC advancing financial capability for underserved communities through grant-making, education, and research.
