My Sociology degree really solidified my interest in working in education, specifically within higher education. Through my role as a TA for Social Psychology I was able to find a passion for mentoring college students and working in a collegiate environment. I went on to pursue my Master’s in Student Affairs Administration (Binghamton University – ’20) where the knowledge and skills I gained through the Sociology program seamlessly blended into my curricular and co-curricular experiences as a graduate student. I was fortunate to land a Graduate Assistantship, and ultimately full-time employment, in Harpur Academic Advising at Binghamton University, where I have been since 2020. Bonus – I also met my husband through Geneseo’s Sociology program!
