Raslan Ibrahim is an Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations. His research interests include international relations theory, sovereignty, intervention, human rights, regional organizations, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and international relations in the Middle East.

He is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of International Relations and Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. He is also a Research Associate at the Graduate Institute’s Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP). Additionally, Professor Ibrahim is an Associate Research Fellow at the United Nations University’s Institute on Comparative Regional Integration in Bruges, Belgium.

Professor Ibrahim served as the 2021–22 Charles E. Scheidt Faculty Fellow in Atrocity Prevention at Binghamton University’s Institute for Genocide and Mass Atrocity Prevention, and as a Fellow at the Institute of International Relations and the Global South Unit for Mediation at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil.

He has taught at Haverford College, the University of Denver, the University of Colorado Denver, Charles University, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). In addition to his academic work, he also worked as a correspondent for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC Arabic), covering Israeli and Palestinian affairs.
