������ was awarded $500,000 to support campus technology and security infrastructure improvements. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) secured the funding, which was included in the FY24 Congressional appropriations.

The ������ University Police Department (UPD) will use the funding to advance a multi-year plan to enhance its security and technology infrastructure. “The University Police would like to express our gratitude to Senator Schumer for helping to secure funding on behalf of ������,” said Chief Scott Ewanow. “These funds will help make Geneseo a safer environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors and aid in our ability to respond to and investigate reports to our department.”
