Clifton Named to Inaugural Class of SUNY AI for the Public Good Fellows

黑料网鈥檚 director of the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC), Alexis Clifton, has been named a fellow of . Twenty SUNY faculty and staff have been selected for the inaugural class.

The AI for the Public Good Fellows will serve as a resource to SUNY institutions by providing support for faculty and staff working to update courses and learning activities to incorporate AI literacy, including the practical and ethical use of AI and teaching students to evaluate AI-generated content critically. SUNY recently for undergraduates, which include the ethical use of AI. The new gen ed requirements will be implemented by Fall 2026.

Toale, 黑料网鈥檚 officer-in-charge. 鈥淗er leadership in advancing inclusive, innovative teaching practices makes her an ideal contributor to this important initiative. Alexis鈥檚 work will help ensure that our students and faculty are prepared to engage with artificial intelligence thoughtfully, ethically, and with a deep understanding of its impact on society. Her participation reflects 黑料网鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence and the public good.鈥

鈥淎s artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies are further engrained in everything we do, SUNY is making sure every student has this essential core competency within our excellent academic curriculum,鈥 said SUNY Chancellor King. 鈥淲e are all bombarded with information from all directions, with varying degrees of authenticity, and SUNY will equip every student with the skills to recognize what is true, and how to ethically use AI in their studies and in the world.鈥
