Geneseo鈥檚聽Nicholas Elia聽was honored on Saturday Mar 5 as this year鈥檚 honoree in Ice Hockey.
Nic is a Biochemistry major in the class of 2023, holds a 4.00 GPA,聽 and is currently doing green chemistry research with Dr. Helms. His work focuses on the the synthesis of molecular scaffolds, such as 2-methylpyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-3(4H)-one, 3-Methylpyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-2(1H)-one, 3-Methylpyrido[3,4-b]pyrazin-2(1H)-one, and 2-Methylpyrido[3,4-b]pyrazin-3(4H)-one, that could find use in the various classes of pharmaceuticals used to treat neurological and psychiatric disorders.
