Senior Spotlight: Pema Sherpa

As the Eddie Lee 鈥76 First Generation Ambassador, Pema Sherpa '19 spent the fall semester in her native Nepal, shadowing pediatric doctors to learn about medicine and the challenges of providing health care in underserved areas. She also collaborated with the doctors to provide no-cost eye exams to more than 700 children and prescription eye glasses to 80 students who needed them.

Students Explore Sustainability Issues Through Art

Students in a spring聽honors course, 鈥淭he Politics of Sustainability Through Art,鈥 are exploring environmental concerns and the politics that affect sustainability issues in a creative way.
In addition to readings that provide background on climate change, food sustainability and other problems, students are viewing and discussing relevant artwork by artists from around the world creating their own visual art inspired by their learning.聽

Student-led Composting Program Cultivates Waste
