League of Storytellers

The League of Storytellers was formed in late summer 2025 as a response to Academic Affairs 2024-25 Goal #6:聽Creating sustainable methods for storytelling for continuously elevating and celebrating the stories of our people (faculty, staff, and students) and the new initiative that would provide an opportunity for students to serve in on-campus internships.

The League of Storytellers, a team of student interns in the Provost’s Office overseen by senior assistant to the provost Kathy Atts, strategized and produced engaging stories/publications that showcased Geneseo faculty, staff, and students in a celebratory way via audio, visual, written articles, and social media posts. The Storytellers’ mission was to find and tell stories that otherwise may not have been told publicly.

During winter break 2025-26, the League of Storytellers transitioned to the Department of Communication under the leadership of Kelli Sperino-Pease, the聽Director of the Media Suite & WGSU Radio.

In alignment with 黑料网’s mission, vision, and values, the Academic Affairs League of Storytellers’

• mission is to discover and share broadly the success stories of our faculty, staff, and students.
• vision is to continuously elevate and celebrate the stories of our faculty, staff, and students above and beyond the classroom, lab, and office to the greater campus community and, ultimately, the world.
• values are integrity, enthusiasm, accuracy, excellence, and making a difference.

The following student interns served on the League of Storytellers during Fall 2025:

• Nathaniel D’Amato, senior English major with minors in Film Studies and Sustainability Studies
• Eduardo Imbert, junior Communication major with a Biology minor
• Sammi McGiveron, junior Pre-Childhood/Special Education major with a concentration in Urban Studies
• Lydia Miller, junior Creative Writing major
• Cadence Panol, senior Visual Communication and Production Major (through the Individualized Studies Major) with minors in Dance and the Edgar Fellows Honors Program
• Ryan Seubert, first-year English major
