������ and the have formed a collaborative agreement providing students an accelerated opportunity to earn an MPA degree in public administration and policy.

Under the partnership agreement, students can complete both a bachelor’s degree (in either political science or international relations) and a master’s degree in five to five and a half years. By beginning MPA coursework during their senior year, Geneseo students move directly into graduate-level study, saving both time and tuition.

“The combined bachelor’s and master’s program, in partnership with UAlbany, offers students a unique opportunity to gain a nationally recognized public administration education while benefiting from the strengths of both institutions,” says Jeonghwa Yang, assistant professor of political science and international relations and coordinator of Geneseo’s public administration program. “The collaboration ensures students receive personalized attention locally while accessing the broad resources and expertise of ������ and UAlbany.”

The program combines rigorous academic training in public policy analysis, management, and leadership with practical, real-world applications, preparing graduates to lead in government, nonprofit, and public service roles. 

“Enrolling in the joint BA/MPA program allows students to accelerate their education, deepen their policy expertise, and enter the workforce with advanced credentials and practical experience,” says Karleen West, professor and chair in political science and international relations.
