Hey, IB juniors! Make progress over the summer on your extended essay with our four-day, three-night campus experience.

What’s in It for You?
Extended Essay Support: Guidance on research, organization, and writing strategies from IB extended essay supervisors and Geneseo professors.
Team Up: Work alongside students at similar stages in the process for motivation. Learn from other students who are writing in the same subject as you.
Experience College Life: Small group meetings and 1:1 conversations with Geneseo professors, write in a university library, stay in dorm rooms, and eat in the dining hall.
College Prep Perks: Bonus sessions on college admissions, application essays, and how to actually survive college.
Fun Breaks Included: When you’re not diving into your EE, enjoy evening activities while hanging out with new friends.
Your week at a glance
Arrival (Tuesday)
Late Morning–Afternoon: Check-in, welcome session, campus tour
Evening: Dinner, first small-group meetings with IB educators, icebreakers, and game night
Night: Return to the residence hall
Daily Flow (Wednesday & Thursday)
Morning Highlights:
Breakfast at our dining facility
Breakfast Club with IB Educators
Workshops, research sessions, and individual faculty support
12:15–1:30 p.m. – Lunch
Afternoon Highlights:
College application tips
Research & writing with AI
Lab activity
Nature walks
Writing time, group meetings, and 1:1 support with Geneseo faculty
Access to staff librarians throughout the day
6–7 p.m. – Dinner
Evening:
Small-group sessions
Nightly activities like karaoke, movie night, ice cream social
Return to residence hall by 10 p.m.
Closing Day (Friday)
Morning: Breakfast, final group meeting, student presentations
Late Morning: Closing remarks & camp survey
Noon: Check-out, pick up boxed lunch, depart campus
